Growing up with a brother as a football player – was it a curse or a blessing? Through the years and through all of the games and the parties I’ve learned a few tricks that might prove handy for your next football happening.
It might be a nice idea to let your neighbors know in advance that you are hosting the big one, the one and only, THE Super Bowl party. Maybe even invite them over if you are so inclined. If you haven’t had a chance to meet, this might be a perfect opportunity to get to know your Camden neighbor a little better. Be considerate of your neighbors and remind your guests to be aware of the noise level. Also, make sure that you have planned ahead for parking spaces needed for the guests. Nothing like standing with great anticipation in front of the big screen when Eli is about to make the scoring pass into the endzone for the TD, and all of a sudden you miss the big play; all because a neighbor is pounding his fists on your door in frustration because your guest is blocking their parking space. No fretting at the door allowed.
Keep the peace and do a little celebratory dancing during the big plays.
You might want to offer two party rooms. One for the serious football fanatics, and the other as a social room for the” less-than” sport spectators so as to not have conversation ruin it for those of us that are truly into the game AND the commercials. (Dont’ forget your pet might need their own party room too so their little paws don’t get trampled on during the excitement). You might find more useful tips along with some really yummy tummy teasing ideas in the article Planning Your Super Bowl Party.
I hosted a party at my house last year, and a really good friend came over. She knew nothing about the game. She later confided that she came because of the food and fun-she could care less about the football. So whether you and your friends are into the game or just into the experience, let the partying begin and get your game face on!
Come on Giants, let’s play some football – GRRRR. Oh, and definitely, it was a blessing.
Cheers, Lavonia

Go Patriots!!!!
Sweet Lavonia! Great ideas – it will come as no surprise to anyone, but personally I would really appreciate the “social” room. Hey what time does your party start?
