Today, February 29th, 2012 we celebrate ‘Leap Day’. The day is unique in that it only occurs an average of every 4 years. There are a couple traditions that come along with leap day – ladies proposing to men, honorary leap day babies celebrate their birth, and leap lists are made!
Before Honda began their Leap List Campaign, I had never heard the term used before. Now that I’ve seen the commercials (most notably with Matthew Broderick; inspired by Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) it’s another great way to create what is similarly known as a bucket list (with a few differences). What I’ve learned in my research (aka Google search) of ‘Leap List’ is it’s based off life’s milestone moments (ie-before you turn 30, before you have kids, etc) vs. before you die (bucket list). Basically, a leap list is just a more organized bucket list with a better timeline. Leap lists help you live the life you envision.
Today is the day to really take advantage of all the goals, or bucket list items you have, and give them a time-line – aka a leap list! I think one goal most people have is to explore their surroundings. Most residents living in Camden apartments are in a transitional point in their life where they could stay in a particular location anywhere from 3 months to 3 or more years. So what is there in the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) that are must do’s? Here are just a few ideas:
