Can you feel the love?

You’ve heard us say it a million times, almost to the point of exhaustion – at Camden we’re family. Well, we say it because it is true. The work we do at Camden is more than just a job to us. The people we serve are more than just residents. But most importantly, the people we work with are more than just coworkers – they are family members. Yes, we are huggers. Yes, we have fun together. And yes, when a Camden family member needs help we are there. 

Jessie’s Flowers

Recently a Camden family member became very ill and it was a shock to us all. We adore Jessie so much and the spirit with which she tackles life. Unfortunately, our company is spread across the country, so while her local Camden family took wonderful care of her, Jessie’s extended “family” waited for updates and kept her in our daily thoughts. But when you’re family you don’t just wait to hear news, you act. Cards, calls, emails, and texts were sent daily. Flowers, fruit baskets, and much more flooded her hospital room. Because when you’re family, you care. When you’re family, you can’t stop thinking about how to help each other.

This isn’t a singular act – this story happens all the time. When Camden family members are in need, people act. Quilts made to comfort during chemotherapy treatments. Meals made and delivered when needed due to illness or injury. Selling handmade jewelry to raise money for medical expenses. The list goes on and on.
