The Super Bowl is dominating my television. I’m a big football fan, but all the news coverage is making me wish Sunday was over already. This is especially true since I can’t stand either the Giants or Patriots (GO COWBOYS). Anyway, Monday will begin a span of time that many sports fans term a “void” (a few boring weeks between the end of the football season and the beginning of March Madness). However, for some of us, football continues on in spectacular fashion. I am of course talking about English Premier League soccer. One of the biggest titanic clashes of the season takes place this Sunday morning in the form of Chelsea versus Manchester United (live at 9:30 am CT Sunday on Fox). Like many, I will wake up early and watch the match with my morning coffee in the comfort of my apartment home. For the more hardcore fans, you may want to venture out to one of the many soccer bars throughout Austin. I hope this is a revelation that will save some of you from pointless Jersey Shore marathons or running errands with your significant other because “you don’t have anything better to do.” You’re welcome.
